The incredible story of the rediscovery and restoration of one of the marque’s most important missing link

The debut of the Alfa Romeo 12C Prototipo at Salon Privé London was accompanied by a wonderful edition of Octane Magazine, the cover of which is dedicated to the “mystery car”. In the June issue 228 of the magazine, Karl Ludvigsen writes about the Alfa Romeo’s Prototipo V12 engine in a special 11 pages article.

Karl Ludvigsen, who needs no introduction, is also one of the authors of the book The Missing Link? which, published in an exclusive limited edition of only 250 copies, was authored by other international names of the automotive world and tells the story of this car that was reborn after 80 years and of an ambitious and far-sighted project that Alfa Romeo pursued at the end of the 1930s.
